Archery Range Rules

              General rules for all archery ranges

1. No alcohol permitted on any Archery range.

2. Members and guests only, guests must be accompanied by a current member except for special events.

3. All shooters must sign in and prepay posted fees before shooting. Signing in constitutes acceptance and understanding of all listed rules and guidelines.

4. Members have preference over guests when range is crowded.

5. (indoors) Cardboard backing of target faces is prohibited. All target faces must be removed by the archer at the completion of his/her shooting.

6. Arrows are to removed from bows when people are down range. Do not draw, even an un-arrowed bow when people are down range.

7. Bows may only be drawn, with or without an arrow, in the direction of the targets.

8. All shooting will cease and bows un-arrowed if any person is detected within in the archers vision from the archer shooting to the target and beyond.   

9. Shoot at paper targets or provided targets only. No clay targets, cans, bottles, etc. (Indoors) remove all targets when finished shooting.

10. No shooting at targets on the ground or in the air. Shoot down range only. No cross-range shooting. No mid-range targets of any kind.

11. Broadheads of any type are not permitted to be shot at any NSSA's targets. Shooting broadheads will initiate suspension of the offending archer until restitution for shot at target butts is made              

12. All range shooting is governed by the rules presented above except for special events, and may be changed at any time by the archery committee as deemed necessary for the safety of NSSA members and guests. 

13. If any NSSA member violates any of the rules presented the member and or guest will be asked to leave the range. Members will be subject to restitution for damages to NSSA property and disciplinary action by the NSSA Board of Directors.


Field Course & 3D Range

1. Field tips or target points only.

2. No broad heads allowed on course.

3. No turning around once started through course.

4. General rules presented above will also apply.

 


Indoor Range

1. Field tips or target points only.

2. No broad heads allowed on range.

3. Everyone must shoot from the same line. (same distance from target butts)

4. Three arrow limit per end, except for special events

5. Paper targets only.

6. Remove target faces prior to leaving the range.

Outdoor Practice Range

1. Field tips or target points only.

2. No broad heads allowed on range.

3. Everyone must shoot from the same line.

4. Four arrow limit per end.

5. General rules presented above will also apply.
