***NSSA Annual Fish Fry***
We are sorry to inform all those who enjoyed the NSSA Fish Fry that because of the lack of help this coming year, the Fish Fry will not happen.
Thanks for your support.

NSSA and the Boy Scouts
The local Boy Scouts have asked Northside to partner with them to enhance the Scouting experience. They are asking for three areas of mutual participation:
n Setting up a Venturing program
n Allowing them occasional use of Club grounds
n Finding volunteer merit badge councilors and mentors among our members
Benefits to NSSA include:
n Enhanced community relations
n Passing our experiences on to the next generation in a positive way
n Helping develop relations with potential future club members
n Potential project labor at NSSA
The Venturing crew is the first we’d like to focus on. Venturing is program open to teens and young adults 15 to 21, both girls and boys, interested in adventure experiences. The program is run by the crew with adult (parent) mentoring. They provide the operational setup; all NSSA would provide is a place to meet monthly, use of ranges occasionally, and a small fee for each crew person ($10 each). If we could get a Venture crew of 10 or more set up under this program, BSA would then provide comprehensive insurance for all Scouts on NSSA property at no charge.
What we are looking for now are those members with children eligible for this program who are interested in helping form the Venturing program at NSSA. If you have any interest please contact me, Stan Hoover, at 724-443-6883, or email me at stanmj67@yahoo.com, or leave a note in my mailbox here at NSSA. I can set up a meeting with BSA representatives who can more fully explain the program to you, assuming we get sufficient interest from you, the members of NSSA.
Thanks in advance, Stan Hoover

New dates for 2010
NOTICE
PLEASE CHECK “RANGE CLOSINGS” ON THE WEB SIGHT FOR DATES AND TIMES. ALSO CHECK BULLETIN BOARDS.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
A.L.KREMMEL Range Chairman.
The BOD have approved a ruling that treestands must be removed after 24 hours and must be tagged with the members name and membership number that is on the back of your security card. If a tree stand is found on the club property without a ownership ID, please remove it from it's location and bring it to the clubhouse and notify an officer or a board member of the club. Thanks for your assistance.
Club Emergency Phones
There are new emergency phones at the club. One is at the storage building at the rifle range and one is in the entrance of the main building. When calling 911, you will be automatically connected with Butler County. Ask to be transferred to Allegheny County 911.
The Ladies Pistol Course will be back!

Do you have an old worn American flag?
If so bring it to NSSA and it will be delivered to the American Legion Post 161 in Wexford for proper retirement.

Attend any General Membership Meeting
on the first Tuesday of each month and purchase tickets for items raffled at the end of the meeting. NSSA will continue to have good food and free beverages at the meetings. Good food, good drink, great odds in winning, no reason not to show up! Meetings start at 8:00 P.M.
Stay in-tune with club business, make your vote count and possibly win a nice gift at the same time. See you there ……
